The Racor 500FG2 Turbine Series Filter Assembly is engineered for superior fuel filtration and maximum engine protection. Designed to be installed on the vacuum side of the fuel transfer pump, this system shields precision engine components from dirt, rust, algae, asphaltines, varnishes, and especially water. Racor’s proven three-stage filtration process ensures clean, reliable diesel fuel in even the harshest conditions.
Three-Stage Filtration Process:
Stage One – Separation: Fuel enters the assembly and passes through the centrifuge, spinning off large solids and water droplets that settle at the bottom of the bowl.
Stage Two – Coalescing: Smaller water droplets bead up on the conical baffle and cartridge element. Once heavy enough, they drop to the bottom of the bowl.
Stage Three – Filtration: Racor’s proprietary Aquabloc® II cartridge elements repel water and filter contaminants down to two microns (nominal). These elements are waterproof and last longer than traditional water-absorbing elements.
